About Us

The New Holland Area Historical Society was formed as a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization in 2005. The purpose of the organization is to gather, organize and preserve information and historical items that give insight to understanding the life and times of the New Holland area and sharing this material with others. The New Holland Area Historical Society Museum will be operated by the Society and will be located on the second floor of the historic Kauffman Building at 201 E Main Street in New Holland, Pa. The purpose of the museum is to provide space to store and display artifacts, historic data, photos, literature and other memorabilia and make it available for education and research.

About Becoming A Member

The New Holland Area Historical Society is hoping to get your help in it's mission to preserve the past in this entire region. Monthly meetings are not mandatory but are there for educational and historically centered programs. A NHAHS quarterly newsletter subscription or the year will be mailed to your home or business which highlights people, places and events that helped to shape, promote and preserve our history.

The main goal of the society is to find artifacts, historical data, photos and to archive them for future generations. We hope to educate people who have an interest in West Earl, East Earl, and Earl Township's historical region. Short range goals include beginning a membership drive, having regular monthly meetings and programs, promoting local history through events, educational and social activities. Long range goals include finding a permanent home for the society, where the group can meet, house or catalog artifacts. We also hope to update the documented history of the New Holland Region along with their surrounding towns and boroughs.
